Description: The Youth Archery Spring session is an event designed to teach youth about Archery in a safe and secured environment. This is a five session course with detailed instruction each day based on the different functions of archery ranging from safety rules to proper shooting technique. The course time will range from a one to two hour range and class time. The overall focus on these sessions will be youth working together as a team. Our space will be limited to 4 teams of 4 participants for a total of 16 participants.
Goals: Each week the participants will be working as a team to focus on safety and different aspects of Archery as a sport. This will include learning the range rules, equipment, proper safe shooting techniques, and target shooting.
Dates: March 16th 2:30-4:30p (Introduction to Archery safety and range rules range time includes participants abilities)
March 23rd: 3:30-4:30p (Proper shooting stance and line commands)
March 30th: 3:30-4:30p (Proper shooting stance with Aiming and breathing)
April 13th 3:30-4:30p (Scoring and target recognition)
April 27th 4:00-5:00p (Team shooting event includes basic target shooting and relay targets).
Cost: The cost for the overall package of 5 full sessions is $50 per participant (all range fees are included). Space is limited for 16 Participants.
